ScotlandBard : shame the foreground could not of had more light.
rookpsu : did not see the battle in this photo.
OllyCH : wished it was a clearer shot.
bigt2000 : shame you could not sort out the picture.
JDDavis : Very very cute.
CK Williams : battling the fire is no easy feat, good choice of a photo, but need to bring more light into the photo to capture the firefighters better.
acearchie This shot really needed more light, to bring more detail into the shot.
Waybo : very good photo, I think it would better if the colors could be enhanced.
Chappers : When I first saw this photo, I did not even notice the spider, good capture.
Patriks7 : good job on capturing a moment, these are hard photos to perfect.
GT41 : This is just a great photo, seems so timeless and solemn.
emorydunn : This one made me laugh, had the potential of being a winning shot, if it was a better shot photo, meaning depth of field better. Also better lighting.
deep diver : love this photo.
jodelli : I see battles in this photo:
1> position of the race cars.
2> the guy with the extinguisher, ready to battle a bad event.
tmagman : would be a better photo if it had more developed picture. I do like this shot however.
jabbott : A very touching photo, I like that is simple in BW, and which helps the viewer focus on the meaning of the photo rather than the emotion of color.
Keleko : I love this photo, very good shot.
the1sttransport : I did not see how this is a battle.
Thank you all for your submissions some great photos.
3rd place is Chappers, such a great photo, with natures battle.
2nd place, JDDavis this was a hard one, I love this shot so much, such a cute shot.
This week winner is GT41 Such a timeless shot, that draws in the emotions of life sacrificed in battle for the betterment of mankind.

LOL. Climte gate showed the world that junk science and data suppression are the norm amongst these fraudsters, and that they'll stoop to any level to "prove" their preposterous theories. These global warming "scientists" are laughing stocks.
LOL, no.
But it's not all bad news: your "post" has been "entered" in the MacRumors "Best Use of Sarcastically-Intended Quotations" "competition" for "2011." Good luck!

Yeah thats a good point. You are preaching to the choir, I really miss the feature (hence asking Loren about it). I don't imagine it will be too much longer before the 'Services' option in the iPhone version goes as well.
some of those 'services' are pretty pointless. I don't think 2 of them even work.

I have 4.2.1 and I was wondering if redsn0w or greenpois0n was more stable. The only thing I really do with the jailbreak is run BTstack GPS. Thanks!
Both use the same exploit, and they are very stable on my experienced, flip a coin and pick one.

Point being that if it's going to be November (which I do believe) then we might as well wait for Steve's MWSF presentation to see what's next. Not that he's necessarily going to tell us then. But that perhaps he'll tell us then.
The other factor will be some benchmarks on the 1.25 to see how much faster it really is. And the other factor is if it is a 7470 or not. Another factor is lust. Another factor is impatience. Another factor is the developement of OS X.2.2 or 2.3. There are an awful lot of bugs in this 10.2.0 that have scared me off of upgrading. I have a very happy and what I percieve to be fast 10.1.5 running on an "old" 500 MHz/100MHz/1.5 GB/100 GB/GF2 CUBE running SILENT.
So while I would like to boost my capability 5+ times, which I'm sure the dual 1.25 would do, I would also like to wait a little longer and boost my capability 10 times or more which I think the first generation Power4 may do.
I also may not have a clue. But I guarantee you I will be in the room when IBM explains what they're up to with the Power4 Processor the morning of October 15th at the San Jose Fairmont Hotel.
Care to join me?
I'll meet you on the other side. I'll stick with a dual 1.25 and be very happy with it. Believing that apple with use the new IBM chip is as much a fact as the 7470 chip even existing. Just becuase we all want faster chips doesn't mean were going to get them. Just becuase there is some IBM chip meeting doesn't have anything to do with apple. There's a reason why this is a rumor site and shouldn't be taken that seriously. We have to let the G5 at MWSF dreams die. Let's be happy with what we've got and know that it beats anything Wintel releases.

I have 32GB of RAM in my Mac Pro and I got the RAM from Superbiiz, it was a steal compared to OWC and Apple's prices. It looks like they have the RAM for $137 (http://www.superbiiz.com/detail.php?name=D3-13R8GH1&title=Hynix-DDR3-1333-8GB-ECC-REG-Original-Server-Memory) per 8GB stick, so that'd be just shy of $1100 plus tax and shipping.
Dang that's cheap! Though I have a fear of Hynix RAM from having many issues with its non-ecc desktop series in the past. Hope they hold up well and won't produce errors. No problems with total RAM detection\compatibility etc. for you ?
I am looking to stick 8GB x 4 of these in my Mac Book 2010 8-core with processor capable of supporting 1333MHz RAM.

The no to AV was a negative campaign!
Perfectly demonstrated by this advert below your post!
Besides, the BNP thinks that AV will be bad for them. As good an advert for if I ever saw one.

Another question guys. People said once I use the turbo SIM I can not turn the cell phone off anymore. Why that?
My understanding is you can turn it off. But when you turn it back on you'll need to make another fraudulent and illegal call to 911. Perhaps that's not the case.

Well technically... there was a Santa Claus. But he's dead now. Sorry kiddies. He died hundreds of years ago. "And you can find more information at your local library".
Anyway, we can all kind-of assume that EVENTUALLY Moto will release a 7470 or whatever, since they have a 74** series going. Unless of course they go under, or Apple goes to IBM, or they rename the series, or call the next chip the 7456, or what ever.
But calling the 1.25 GHz an overclocked 1 GHz before they even start selling them, is jumping the gun a bit. That's like calling the new 2.8 GHz P4 an overclocked P3 (wait, bad example). Everyone seems to be forgetting that the FSBs are actually 4 x 100 and 4 x 133 (DDR 100 and 133 for AMD). 167 w/ DDR333 is actually pretty cool. Even if it is bastardized.
Don't get me wrong. Apple IS competing against the world of WinTel, and they aren't doing so well in speed or price. I, for one, like it just as much when people have legitimate complaints as when they have a legitimate complement. If we just accept the way things are, they'll never get better. Macs are easier to use, more stable, etc, etc... but they're not as fast. And "Apple is a business" is not a good excuse. It just proves my point. So stop saying, "if you don't like it go buy a PC".
Cuz they will. Duh.
If the new Dual 1.25s are as fast as a ~2 GHz x86, I'd be happy. Have you ever tried to edit video on a PC? Zero to Crash in 60 sec. If the iBook can do some basic stuff like typing letters and surfin' the net, and it's pretty affordable (and light, and sturdy, and has a long battery life), I'm happy. Benchmarks, shmenchmarks, it's real world performance that counts.
When I feel like Apple's acting like M$ (yeah, that's right, I said it), and a >$1000 PC can whip the *** of the $3000+ "Top-of-the-Line" Mac, I'm not happy.
And believe me, yer gonna hear about it.
Now where are the darn 7500 G5s we were promised (please note sarcasm).

But no support for the Olympus E-PL1, despite the fact that the E-P1 and E-P2, which use the same file format, were supported in the last release, and the E-P2 is almost identical to the E-PL1. :(

Unfortunately it's an insurance job, RAC just happen to be the people Elephant use to replace windscreens. So I can't threaten to move to the AA, as I'm not even with RAC to begin with.Send the bill to Elephant.

EDIT: Or possibly using the Google Directory (http://www.google.com/Top/Computers/Internet/On_the_Web/Message_Boards/) for internet message boards.

Yeah, Pixar pretty much wins every year except for Cars and Monsters Inc. There was not a category for animated film when Toy Story and Toy Story 2 were released.
This year Toy Story 3 was nominated for Best Picture also, which is a big deal since that's only happened three times for an animated film (Beauty and the Beast, UP and Toy Story 3).
Jobs actually went to the Oscars last year for UP.

Hey, all, thanks in advance.
My campus has had problems recently with the internet being slow, dropping the connexion, etc. Usually I can go into system preferences and network, then use the "assist me" feature to fix things without any trouble.
But right now my friend isn't able to get her MacBook to connect at all She's tried restarting numerous times without any luck. Either it says there's no IP, or that it's authenticated via PEAP. Any tips for her? :/
Ask the campus tech why she is unable to connect. It could be that the campus requires the mac address to be registered.
