You need the original as well...most have it highly discounted though...and I think you can just download it from blizzard and set up an account that way...

Don't they have reprogrammable LED lights???
This would honestly make a good product or iOS app. Every time a new end of the world prediction is announced, you get a push notification and a countdown clock.

How does the printer connect to the network? If it's supposed to be connected via WiFi, you should probably look at the printer itself and configure it to join the new WiFi network.

There are currently no viruses for Mac OS X in public circulation, only a handful of trojans and other malware, which have to be installed manually via entering the administrator password.
The only anti-virus you need to protect your Mac is education and common sense.

It's either the logic board or the hard drive.
I'm seeing logic boards selling for around 50 and 160GB hard drives selling for around 88.
By the time you:
a) Gamble which is causing the problem
b) Get a replacement part
c) Open the iPod - Apple make them VERY easy to break when you're opening them.
d) Fit the replacement part
e) Reassemble the iPod
You're probably better off buying a new iPod. Especially if your time is valuable.

The screen of the MBA is better to program on than the MBP. The extra resolution (1440x900 over 1280x800) makes it so more code is up on screen at a time, which is something I like (I hate scrolling or switching windows).
However, both are far from ideal, most of my programming is done when connected to my external monitor (a beast with 2048x1156 resolution). If I could afford dual 1920x1200 screens, I would go for that as both the current MBA and MBP can drive such displays without any problem.
If you want to start reading up on it now, you can always install GNUStep on your current computer. It implements much of the Foundation classes. However, be warned that it is based on Objective-C 1.x and thus lacks some features (@property and @synthesize for one) and some of the Foundation classes are implemented differently from Apple's implementation. It should still let you delve in the beginning chapters without too much effort.

I have the original iPhone from launch day, used it for 2 years and then got a 3GS (then got the 4 a year after). It still lives on my Sony clock/radio by my bed. It has a life as my bedside music player/alarm/remote for TV/remote for Sonos system.

I'm trying to write an Applescript, but I'm not quire sure how to do it. Basically, there's a web page that I want to keep checking on. It's not live yet, and I want to find out when it's up.
The tricky part is that the webpage redirects if it isn't up yet, so I can't simply reload the page. I want the Applescript to go to the webpage, check to see if it got redirected somewhere else, and if so, load it again. So I need to check to see what page it's currently at, and that's what I can't figure out.

Another vote for the ATI. I like ATI better and their products are better in my opinion. Now all we need is a PowerMac that can run the ATI AVIVO.

iPhone 4GS would look exactly the same (maybe slight adjustment), and slightly bigger memory (possibly 8GB version phased out and replaced with 16gb) + the white edition.
I would expect the iPhone 5 to be quite a bigger adjustment/re-design.
No, then it would be the iPhone 6, since it would still be the 6th iPhone.
iPhone - 2007
iPhone 3G - 2008
iPhone 3GS - 2009
iPhone 4 - 2010.
iPhone 4S - 2011
iPhone 6 - 2012
The 3GS was not an iPhone 3.5, it was essentially the 3rd generation of iPhones. The iPhone 3G was in fact the iPhone 2.

i think that you should be fine getting an emac, its a good machine and will be comparable in performance to your ibook due to similar (albeit not identical) specs. up the ram if you want to.
i understand your problem with the moving of the ibook, but to put your mind to rest, it is designed to be put up with certain stresses (whithin reason):D so it can survive a short trip in a backpack everyday, you will probably see mostly physical wear and tear, and no hardware damage (unless you drop it).
many would be inclined to say: what use is a portable if you dont use its portability?
in a matter of weeks i shall be carrying my powerbook around my new campus, but i did buy a special bag for it so im not that worried about it getting damaged. UNDUE CARE IS NEEDED!
if you are still paranoid, buy yourself a good protective case/bag (not a skintight sleeve).
or if you are still worried, go with the imac.
hope i have been a help

Hi,
Does the little green led around the charger port on the iBook g4 only lite up if an Apple brand charger is used on it? I have a 3rd party one on my iBook and it doesnt lite, or is the led in the charger, not the computer itself?
